Summer Reading 2022

Summer reading is back at Siuslaw Public Library! This year's theme is "Read Beyond the Beaten Path".

During June and July, we've got lots of fun and activities for all ages. Kids in Siuslaw schools through eighth grade will get your summer reading packet (and a free book!) at school. For everyone else, stop by the library to get your summer reading materials starting June 1.

Babies & Kids

Kids from birth through second grade will get a booklet to track your daily reading (or being read to) all summer. Stop by the library to collect your brag tag every week!

Tweens & Teens

From third grade to high school seniors, you get a bingo card. Stop by the library to get a brag tag (tweens) or collectible pin (teens) every week!

Adults

Yes, even adults can participate! For every book you read or listen to, movie you watch, etc., you can enter to win a book or other fun prizes in our weekly drawings.

Grand Finale

Join us for food, free books, and fun! Kids of all ages welcome.

Florence: Wednesday, July 27, 10 AM - 2 PM

Mapleton: Thursday, July 28, 1-3 PM

The Florence event will feature a special presentation at noon in memory of longtime resident and retired teacher Paul Kindsvater, who left a large bequest to the library for youth services. Kindsvater will be honored with a special plaque that will be displayed in our children's room.
