Siuslaw Public Library District is carefully monitoring public health guidance regarding coronavirus and COVID-19. Here is some information about our current response:
Is the library open?
At this time, our Florence and Mapleton locations are closed until further notice. Read a letter from our library director regarding the closure.
Are you doing curbside pickup?
We are starting curbside hold pickup on Monday, June 1. Learn more.
Are you cancelling library programs and events?
All library programs and events during the closure are cancelled.
Should I cancel my event at the library?
All public meetings, programs, and events during the closure are cancelled. If you have questions about whether to schedule a meeting or event when the library reopens, see Lane County Public Health’s guidelines for social distancing (link below).
What if I have a reference or computer question?
You can get 24/7 online assistance through Answerland on our website. You may also email firstname.lastname@example.org, which staff will be checking intermittently during the closure.
How do I renew my items, place a hold, or renew my library card?
At this time, we are automatically renewing checked out items and extending library card privileges during the closure. You can place holds by logging into your online library account or calling us at 541-997-3132. If you need assistance, email email@example.com.
Should I return my items?
We are starting to accept returns on a limited basis. We will take returns at the back book drop of our Florence location on Tuesday, May 26, and Friday, May 29, 11 AM - 2 PM. Return hours will be expanded the following week.
